I have a Caddy wood furnace installed in 2006 for a newly built house. Chimney is a Simpson Dura-vent that’s inside a chase that surrrounds a main floor fireplace, inside the house.
The furnace has been serviced regularly and chimney cleaned annually.
There’s a small amount of smoke leaking into the living space when the fire isn’t hot (when smoke is created). How do I tell if there’s an issue with a joint in the SS chimney or if there’s could be a crack in the firebox?
I’ve tried looking up and down the chimney and don’t see any obvious concerns. The chimney has an elbow (see photo) so I can't see past that point.
