I know there may be some redundency in this post, but I am having trouble piecing together an actual cleaning procedure for closing out my Quad (this was the first season for it) March-May, probably less than a ton of pellets..
During the burn season I clean it religiously, every 3 days (4 bags or so), vacum the firebox, scrape/clean pot, clean glass, vacum heat exhangers.. But I do not go much further than this.
I did pull two plates on the back of the firebox (each held w/ 1 screw) that gives me access to a fan..It was overall very clean, but I vacummed it too.
I guess, I most worried about all the conflicting info I hear on how to truly "summerize" it. The dealer did not give much details, other than saying they do the service and I could sign up for one.. When I asked about something they would say, "yeah, you could do that"..
The video and manual are good, but don't really help me understand if I should break the stove down any futher than I am doing right now.
Are there any CB, 1200 owners out there who have developed a really comprensive, successful cleaning regiment? I just want to make sure I'm doing everything needed to keep it in tip/top shape for many years.
Thanks..this forum is/will continue to be a great help..
