I find brambles chewed on here, presumably deer. That's gotta hurt.
 
That is a good photo you got there. I am always amazed at how tough of an animal they are.
 
That is a hornless buck for sure. No spring mating for them either. Only mate from October until January, depending on location. That is why they are so crazy when it finally comes to that time of year!

That pic is actually in a little preserve at the end of the Island where we have our summer place - that is where Newport RI is!

See the right bottom of the map - sachuest national wildlife preserve. Here is a human I saw there....Deer in the brambles...Deer in the brambles...
