I have 2 options to vent the pellet stove.
One, I can vent it directly through the wall to the outside or
Two, I can vent it through the fireplace and up the chimney ( just mor costly ? )

If I go through the wall its just installing a thimble and some pipes. If I go through the fireplace there are options but not sure on a few things, Book shows just vent into the fireplace a few feet up and done BUT where do I draw my fresh air from the center of the house? So I believe my option would be to run the pipes all the way up and out the chimney which is about 20'

I put my stove in the year after we built / moved in, but it was a couple years as I recall before piping in cold air for combustion. Measured, used 2" OD exhaust pipe bent to specifications I decided on, muffler shop did it. Screen over end blocks birds, etc out of it, it terminates well away from & well below the flue exit. Connected to stove with a piece of radiator hose until a couple weeks ago, now have a piece of 2" ID CPVC added as I moved the stove out 6".

My flue is Duravent 3" double wall pellet vent through wall thimble. Currently is a 3 foot horizontal from stove adapter out to a tee with cleanout cap outside, then 5 feet up, 90 degree elbow, 6 feet horizontal to Duravent tapered horizontal cap which has a coil wire in open end to keep birds out. It exits about 14 feet above ground.
