Greetings. I have a Regency GF55 pellet stove that I purchased around 2012. My dealer went bankrupt and out of business around 2015. When another shop came out, they weren't happy about the installation and wasn't eager to return.

Currently, using the pellets available in my area, I don't seem to be able to regulate the flame or burn, but the firepot begins to overflow with what looks like mud in under 24 hours. In addition, no matter how I have the damper rod adjusted, I can't regulate the burn or flame height.

Is it possible that the damper rod has become disconnected from the damper assembly?

How can I get to the attachment point of the damper rod and the damper assembly?

Thanks in advance for your help!

When was the last time your stove was cleaned from the air inlet
to exhaust termination? Not just the firebox vacuumed.

it is possible that the damper has come off the rod but you will more than likely have to pull the blower off and check. Along with above when is the last time you cleaned the inlet and blower? I just cleaned all of that a month ago and my blower was just about plugged solid with dist and animal hair.. You could have had something get into your fresh air intake as it does sound like your burn bot is not getting air and its pulling air from where ever it can and the pot is filling with ash

It gives a pretty good explanation Start at page 10
When you get the firebox apart there are 2 passages that go by the damper past the combustion blower and out the chimney . Take the combustion blower off and clean the blower and all the passages
Also, remove the convection blower and clean the dust and if you have a dog or cat the hair and lub it as per the manual. Look up Leaf Blower Trick and if possible perform it to help remove any missed ash
