I've got a Thelin Parlor 3000 stove and both wife and I are very happy with it. We seem to have a problem that is perplexing however. We installed the stove last Dec.
32' high - 4" chimney liner, draws fine but the liner was packed with ash & creosote today! Chimney guy came cleaned it out for the second time since install. Maybe this is not out of the ordinary? I perform weekly maintainence on the stove, vacuum, clean out the tee, pellets are dry. Is it possible that because of my max chimney height, I have to burn the stove on high or med. settings all the time? Thelin says that the height is on the upper limit but that it should not be a factor!
Perhaps I should just expect to clean the liner twice in a year, or does this seem like the problem is elsewhere?
