Has anyone ever had creosote on the outside glass of a wood stove? I recently brought in some wood that was stacked outside and it had a bit of moisture in it. I noticed after burning a few pieces there were two small patches of brown on the glass of the stove. I went to clean it off today, however they were not on the inside glass of the wood stove, they were in the outside. I’ve never seen this before and am wondering if others have ever had this happen.

If it was in the middle of the glass (not at an edge), it likely was not creosote, but something (plastic) touched the window.
