I have a quadra fire mt vernon ae pellet stove about 15 yrs old. Liv it luv it luv it!

Never had to replace anything on it . Runs like a champ.

With that said, last couple of days ive notice a low pitch sound like cicada coming from the Combustion (Exhaust) Blower at start and shutdown and last for a 1-2 minutes then nothing. I thought maybe the pulley needs a drop or two of oil around the pulley? Or maybe its signaling it may need to be replaced soon. Its not annoying but noticeable.

Any thoughts?

Thx in advance.

Sounds like its starting to fail, time for a new one. 15 yrs may be time to replace all of them 😎

Depending on the stove I use pellet stove parts for less most of the time

I would replace all your blowers at 15 years they are more likely to fail one right after the other. I had one fail and it took out my control board.
