I was looking to get a Sooteater, but the one with black poles say for open chimney. White poles say for liners.
How are you cleaning your flue liners? I will probably use a professional service my first year, mostly to watch how they remove the baffle and anything else because the manual being 2 dimensional, I can't tell where they are showing what to remove?
Manual says sweep from the top down, but can you do it from the bottom up if you properly close off the opening to prevent soot everywhere?

If you remove the baffle you should be able to go up through the stove.

Hang plastic at the opening and only put a small hole in it for the rods to go through.
