Got a chimney sweep kit for Christmas and began the process only to run into a problem with the piece that connects between the T clean out and elbow that goes into stove. Hose clamp that holds it onto the T broke. I’ve added a stainless steel hose clamp to the remaining clamp but I’m wondering if it needs to be rated for a certain temperature. The colors are different between the two but I wasn’t sure if maybe the one that had been in use changed color over time from use? Also my elbow that connects to stove is looking a bit red/rusty color on the inside, should I be concerned that it’s breaking down and needs to be replaced? Pictures attached. TIA!
