Dvl and single wall have the same inside diameter?wouldn't that make it bigger on the outside? How would it fit in my support box?

The collar from the chimney will slide inside the innerwall just like it slides into your single wall

Double wall is really easy to install. But not cheap

You may enjoy the extra heat output of single wall if the mantle move is doable. Double wall will draft better and faster on startup. What pleases you more?
