Step 1: Sand it. play with bondo if desired. sand some more.

Step 2: Spray it with flat black because you thought that would be a good idea. Use 98cent cans of the stuff.

Step 3: Decide that it won't work like that. Sand using finer sandpaper. Buy Rustoelum (or generic brand) Satin Black enamel paint and some foam brushes

Step 4: Put a few coats of that on there and then take pictures that don't show any of the 60 grit sand marks in paint.

Step 5: tape off tires and center cap and use cheapo gloss red on wheels.

Really, it's not done yet, I have to molest the whole passenger side. But the basic idea here is that I'll look OK going down the road. No close inspections at 55 or whatever 40 over the speed limit is...

Leave it all in flat black primer. The "Rat-Rodders" call it being in suede. Was all the rage fairly recently, but I'm not exactly plugged into the subculture. Have fun with it. Rick

Nice work Danno...I think the rims in flat black would also look pretty cool.
Maybe have some neighborhood kids come over with neon pain and make handprints of different colors all over the car, lol

If not Suede, then Camo. Go to the rattle can aisle, close your eyes, and grab & toss 8 or 10 cans in your basket...you'll be all set.

Still got the Fiat problem eh Danno? ;)

I had a real thing for 60s/70s Alfa Spider's in College. Sadly, but probably good for my sanity, I never fulfilled that dream.

Actually, Earl's timeless. ;lol
