Can I run 17' of stove pipe straight up without any mid support to a cathedral ceiling support box?

If it is away from everything can I use single wall pipe inside house to increase heat use from pipe or just go double wall pipe?

What is the strongest support boxes out there for my plan.

Thanks.

Yes it can be done. It is strongly recommended that any stove pipe run over 8' be done in double-wall stove pipe. Too much heat loss will end up in a gunked up chimney.
