Can anyone clue me in on this?
I've read the Harmon Hydroflex60 install manual, done some searches here but I can't get how it would work if the two boilers were connected.
How does the pellet boiler start, and the oil boiler not start, when both boilers are cold? If the Harmon was in manual mode keeping the circulating water at something more than the aquastat setting of the oi unitl, but that could cause an excess heat issue. If the Harmon was in auto mode, a call for heat would both boilers , no? That would be undesireable. Do I have to have dual thermostats for each zone, with the oil set lower than the pellet? Where would that leave the indirect water heater (Boilermate) then? There'd be no chance of putting in another aquastat in that.
I'd like to go with this boiler, but I have to figure out how it'll work with the existing one first.
Thanks for any help.
