Back when I was young & burned a 3100L, I was filling it 3 x per day.
Once when I got up, once when I got home from work & then before I went to bed.
Almost always had a decent bed of coals at reload.
I kept the blower on high, & if I woke up
during the night & I didn't hear the blower, I knew it
was time to reload. I burned oak, ash & maple with an occasional
pine split. 7 full cords each winter.

I get about 5-6 hours worth of good heat from mine. Then it starts to fizzle down if I don’t reload. I haven’t really run it hard yet tho. Warm winter last year.
