I’ve got a chinook 30, that has been working great for the last 4 years I had a princess in another house for 8 years. So I do know a bit about blaze king stoves.
This fall my stove was burning great , but with a micro adjustment on thermostat lower it would crash and go below active and fire would go out. So I decided to take a look at the thermostat, and removed the cover. I saw some dust so vacuumed it with shop vac and put cover back on. After that I noticed my stove was burning warmer than usual. And I couldn’t dial it back and get my normal long 24 hour burns. My place was getting much warmer too. I took the cover off again and noticed the silicon on one side of the thermostat seemed missing and there was a gap there. Not sure if that was always there or did I the vacuum suck it out. I also checked the door gasket and it’s fine.
Wondering if anyone noticed any gaps on their thermostat , there also seems to be a small bend in the metal there as seen in pics. Should I just fill it with high temp silicon.
