Have not posted in a while but have been active with enjoying this forum.
I want wood stove with large firebox and high heat output.
Thinking of either the Blaze King King or Buck 94
Any thoughts on difference besides Cat vs non Cat?
How about cost and availability in CT/MA/VT/NH.
I am willing to travel to pick one up or if close enough have it delivered
Thanks in advance

See your PM, Sir.

BK and Buck both make great stoves. Of course, I would recommend BK, but I know there are plenty of happy Buck owners out there.

Very generally speaking, cat stoves are capable of longer burn times and higher efficiency, but are a tad more finicky about the quality (dryness) of wood you feed them. Modern cats tend to last a good long time if taken care of and not abused.

I'm learning to burn with a cat stove.
Now that the majority of the learning curve is done for me.
I'm sold on the cats, less wood & more heat.
Cleaner exhausts, less creosote.
Did I mention less wood (by about 40% for me)
