I am looking for a conversation kit to make one side of my bench grinder into a belt sander. I saw one on amazon that was pushing $300. At the price, I would jsut buy a specific belt sander.
Or, any other less expensive options please.

I just built my own. well ... I built the whole darn thing I guess

Nothing specific on size. Just something general. I don't have a specific task I am looking to do with it. Just seems it would be very convenient to have in a shop ready to go.

And thats impressive making your own. Is it just from stuff you had laying around or did you buy the materials?

If you aren’t buying for a specific job, and only plan on occasional use, I’d have a hard time not looking at what Harbor Freight is offering. Last time I was in there they had at least 3 units with a good/better/best designation.

$300 will get you a heck of a dedicated stand alone tool.

There are lots of levels of tools under that that would handle occasional use just fine.
