Does my Baffle look alright I had an accident last night where the draft was left wide open all night. If I take a straight edge running front to back there is a little bit maybe a quarter inch of play. I only had three pieces of wood in on a little coal bed

Looks ok. The PE baffle gets a little center sag over time that doesn't get any worse. Your baffle looks like ours after 8 yrs of fires.

We all get distracted at one time or another. I set a kitchen timer or cell phone clock alarm to remind me to turn down the air.
