I've recently been thinking about upgrading my Visio pellet stove with an automatic thermostat. The thermostat is shared among the family of Austroflamm stoves (Integra FS), I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with it and whether or not anyone has connected a non-austroflamm thermostat to their stove. Seems like it should be able to interface with other controls but I can't find any information on circuit schematics to be sure.

I happen to like the Products from Rika very much, great products, except the Thermostat
as it does not add much on convinience to the Wood Pellet Stove for the price it costs.

My old Honeywell Chronoterm III for my Oil system has more daily control options than the Rika one.
With the Rika Thermostat you have only two time periods during the day. Every better quality Thermostat has 4 time periods, when not more for each day.
That's the issue I have with the Rika Thermostat and the reason for a failing grade in my opinion.
Nevertheless the on board control which comes with the Rika does the same, except the control by temperature.

I have not tried to hook up one of the other Thermostats, more afraid to fry the control board.
Dealer support in this case is none existent.

RIKA has provided Lucky Distributing, the Importer of the current RIKA products, with an updated control board and associated software that will, hopefully, allow a standard mili-volt style thermostat to be attached. Testing is currently underway. If testing proves successful the new boards/software will be available through authorized dealers sometime later this year.

Thank you for the info, greatly appreciated.
I guess there will be a lot of Rika Pellet Stove Owners out there (including myself) who are following this thread and looking forward for any update.
