My auger motor died after 10 years, so sad.

I have a backup for replacement , it’s been so long since I replaced before.

In order to replace the old one I can’t quite remember if I just have pull/pry auger motor out from auger itself?

I have loosened shaft collar so it spins freely at this point.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Yes you might have to pull/pry, the auger motor shaft actually goes inside the auger almost a inch. If it has not been taken off in 10 years it could be stuck.

That’s what I was thinking too, it may be easier (somewhat) to take off the bracket.
I will spray it with wd40 hopefully that would help loosen it up a bit first then pull or pry it out. If not I’ll take off the mounting bracket.

Ok….finally got it off. Lot of wd40 and a couple of expletives, now on to putting new one in…
