Hi all I have a Regency Harmon GC160 I had my auger jam up with a washer in between the tube and auger I cleared it and went to start it and had no ignition or auger feed or pellet agitator or induction fan
I have jumped the vacuum box and the pellet agitator and fan worked but still had no power to the auger or ingniter I checked all fuses on the board, made sure the magnet was making contact, I hooked 120v directly to the auger motor (and it spun like it should) The MB looks good no mis shaped capacitors or anything looking smoked .I checked the other 2 capacitors and they both were in range.
I have checked that the magnet wasat the correct place. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, I'm at the end of my rope on what to do or check next.
Thanks Bob

Sound like you have some power issues with the control board. Theres more on the board than caps, diode’s, optoisolators there is many failure points that with over voltage (but not blowing fuses) can let the magic smoke out. The IC chip that contains the programing only needs millivolt spike to the wrong pin and its done. I would recommend replacing the board.

Well you can use a dmm and test every component, some need to be out of circuit to accomplish. the IC chip you will need to inject ???millivolts to test if it is functioning and the power controller along with the mosfet. To check programming you need to pull the chip and get a data dump of it then figure out what was used to program it. Then you need to have a known good dump to compare the 2 and see if that is an issue. I know about being tighter than bark to a tree 😋. But sometimes its a lot easyer to replace.

As Ssyko said sometimes it is better to pull the trigger than it is
