For online deals this seems to be a good place for the Englanders - http://overstockstoves.com/50epacenowos.html
There are good deals on decent Napoleons, Drolets, and other stoves too... you might want to see what you like and do a search on here to see how folks like them. Northline Express (an advertiser on here) is giving away hundreds of dollars worth of accessories when you buy one of their Napoleon stoves... other of the advertisers on here sell stoves for good prices too.

Thanks for the leads. The PE 27 is 1750 locally and 1500 I believe at chimneysweeponline.com The local shop said that PE is running a promotion and I'd receive a free fan with purchase.

Not sure what the problem is with cheap, given that the OP is considering a PE product... I don't consider that "cheap", not if he was looking at the Vogelzang boxwood stove vs a barrel stove for the living room I'd be concerned, but none of the brands mentioned (Englander, Drolet, Napoleon, PE) are one's I'd hesitate to recommend. Guess cheap is in the eye of the check writer...!

This is your house, why would you ever consider some less than a premium stove is beyond me? Shooting craps is what you’re doing with a cheap stove, and if you have ever played craps most of the time you lose.

Have you ever physically seen an Englander NC13 or 30? Or the Century? These stove are less expensive than many others, but nothing lacking in the design or quality of the stove itself. I am not understanding the prejudice. Yes, they are basic and utilitarian, but I don't need flowers painted on the handle of my shovel either.
