ambient temperature location

can anyone tell me where I can get a picture of where the ambient temperature probe is located and is there a way to test the dial control.
How would take the dial control out of the loop.

. Ambient Probe The ambient probe is located in the back panel.
It has extra wire to increase the distance from the appliance if needed.
