Hi all. My Whitfield Traditions P-11 stove "shorted out" a few months back. The on/off light on the control board doesn't light up. I've tried a new control board thinking I fried the board and after replacing that, it still doesn't come on. Next I replaced the wiring harness and still no power to light the board up. I do get electric inside the machine though. The auger motor has what appears to me to have a "burn line" right across the square black heavy metal part is ( obviously I'm not an electrician) but before I start replacing parts piece by piece, I would like to know if anyone has any answers as to why I'm not getting my stove to work. Thanks

If this is the right manual check page 30 problem # 4 which says to check the wire connection to the high limit disc and control board, I guess I would also check to see if power is coming out of the board. I,m not sure if your auger is stuck or jammed if this would cause this. Maybe you could shut off the power and see if it is free.

Nope. All new wires and there is definitely power in the stove but not showing up at the top of the control board. Thanks though

Yup. Good fuse with new board. Power is going thru the box ( as I tested the wires for power) but for whatever reason the on/off light doesn't light up and the machine doesn't turn on.

Is there a door switch, the switch could be bad.

I don't know anything about your particular stove, but I will offer a couple thoughts. If the control board wires to terminals, as opposed to having a connector, double check the connections that were made when you replaced the board. You said that you checked and you had power applied to the board. I don't know how you checked power, but make sure that you read correctly between ACH and ACN on the input terminals to the control board. You could read from the ACH on the control board to mechanical ground, and still be missing the neutral to the control board. It seems like not having power applied to the control board would be the only thing that would keep a power pilot light from not lighting, assuming the wiring is correct. Was the control board an exact replacement? Are there any jumpers on the control board? Like I said, I don't really speak from experience, just a few ideas. Maybe someone who knows your particular stove will have some ideas.

Nope. No stinking door switch and I know the power is going from the box to the stove as I have tested with an electrical test tool. I'm still missing something. Thanks
