"The owner of a site where a $600 million entertainment complex is planned said he was surprised earlier this week when he discovered the property had been logged and bulldozed."---"Karen Potter-Witter, a professor of forest economics at Michigan State University, is not familiar with the situation in Kimball Township. Speaking theoretically, she said, "If indeed the developer did not own the rights to the timber as part of the option to buy, then this (could be) a case of timber trespass and the rightful owner can sue for triple the value of the merchantable (timber) removed."
