It's cool to watch how things change over time. I've bookmarked it and now visit it daily. I can't find anywhere that they say anything about the altitude of these winds they're animating on the map. If you could do a sort of wind MRI vertically up through our atmoshpere, I think you'd see that both wind speed and direction vary widely with altitude. Are they displaying this as a dynamic map of surface winds...or what?
