connecting flex liner to black pipe

Hi Everyone,

I received my 30 ft of flex liner from flex king this week. Ordered on Sunday and had it Tuesday. I've been working in the fireplace, busted out the damper and am going to remove a short section of firebrick. Looks a little tight based on the angles. It looks like an adjustable 90 would be the ticket here. Are there any issues in connecting black stove pipe to the stainless flex liner? The kit came with an appliance adapter which I thought I could couple with the elbow and liner above it. It's being hooked into an 30-NC. Any thoughts?

That is how I did it. Works fine. Except I would never use an adjustable elbow for that. I want the elbow to not leak or come apart at the seams and I want it still there the day the liner is replaced. So I used a fixed 30 degree stainless steel elbow.

Folks will chime in and say they are still using their great grandfather's black pipe adjustable elbow. I don't care. :coolsmirk:

I hooked my 30ft of SS liner to a singel wall black T with the appliance adapter. Used some stove cement at liner to appliance adapter and appl. adapter to Black T.
