I recently connected a Lux TX500E thermostat to my Englander 25pdvc and have been very happy with it. At this time the swing setting is set to 1 (default). Is this a good setting or is it causing the stove to cycle to often? I wish the control board on the stove would actually show the step-up when the thermostat called for heat just to see how it was cycling. Any advice on the swing setting would be appreciated. Thanks

I wouldn't worry about the cycling on the Englander. It is the igniter that you need to worry about. Since the Englander is going from the heat setting to a minimal maintained fire your not over working the igniter. The lowest setting on the swing will keep the house a nice stable temp for you. Changing the swing will only broaden the temp range in the house. Too much and you could feel a chill or a bit warm at times.
Thanks for your thoughts. That is what I was thinking but I am always trying to make a good thing better............or worse.
