New ECHO cs440 in box ,
has had one tank of gas through it.Starts well and idles normal, but once releasing brake I cant get the chain to turn, unless repeated teasing of throttle, other wise it chokes down and dies.Thought maybe it was a new thing and managed a tank of gas but no difference. Once it stops turning even for just a few minutes it's very difficult to get her going. Turne the idle up to keep chain rolling, in order to finish cut I had going on up in the "OLD OAK". Climbed down and called it a day! Any ideas? :red:

Take it back to dealer, get tuneup / repair / replacement... I wouldn't mess w/ a brand new saw, as that might give the dealer an excuse to blame the issue on you. Sounds like something either didn't get setup properly, or you have a "DOA" failure. Given that it's a new saw, I'd consider demanding a replacement if it isn't something they can fix on the spot...

I agree take it back to the dealer. A new ECHO shouldn't run like that, heck an old ECHO shouldn't run like that either.

Dealer made good; Looking forward to making chips soon. Thanks for all!

Repaired or replaced?

Would you buy an Echo again?
