...coming out of my ceiling.
I've almost finished the complete installation of Metalbestos 6" double-wall stainless pipe from my ceiling thru the roof and up, but now I've run into an information drought on HOW to connect my stove collar to the dripless pipe hanging down from my ceiling. Metalbestos apparently doesn't carry that product.
The dripless pipe (as Metalbestos calls it) is intended to slip-fit INSIDE a stove pipe, or so my dealer says, but it measures darn close to 6", as does my stove collar. Anything on-line I've looked at doesn't detail the male-female relationship at the dripless connection.
The dimension from my stove to the dripless pipe above is almost exactly 48"
Stove is a Harmon Oakwood. Can anyone tell me "this product from this manufacturer is what you need"?
ALSO, now that I'm on the subject, gimme some opinion on double-wall or single wall stove pipe. I know about the short-life of the single-wall, but heck, it's only 48", I'm not worried about replacing it every few years, I want to know about draft effect, or warming of the room, etc. My setup is already laid out for single wall (clearances).
