As stated...my stove burns too hot. To start it, I have to crank up all the settings for 30 minutes, and then turn everything down to 1.

Ranges 1-9 on all settings. Even keeping feed rate, air, and heat range down to 1, it stays at 350+ degrees and makes the left side of my house 80° easily. I can only use it during arctic blasts. It's been in the teens at night with 50mph winds, so I've used it for a few nights now.

Interestingly, my 2007 King on the other side can have the heat range all the way up to 9 and it won't get hotter than 380°. To be fair the stairwell is near it and has more space to cover. (It doesn't heat well like this one does)

Anyone else have a newer Englander? I find it odd that the factory settings for feed and air are 4-6. For years I've wanted to swap this where the King is but the exhaust outlets are on opposite sides unfortunately.

What specific model Englander? They're so many each with their own quirks.

I've been using the same two brands for several years. It's a 25-pdvc. I just think it's odd that it works so well on the lowest settings at all times. And I can't use it if it's above 15° out

OK, thanks for the clarification on the model. Can you confirm what mode its in? You should be in mode 'D.' Sounds like you might be in mode 'A.' Do a search on here as to how to check what mode you're in.
