Hi everyone, out brass flame is churning through our second fire just in time for winter.

First time we noted a burning paint smell, scraped top off and much better.. but now I want to strip and recoat the main box with fireplace paint in the same color (I already sourced it on amazon).

Was this the original color?

Reason I'm asking is the paint literally is inside every sheet metal part, zero sign of overspray. Impossible to do without a complete teardown or pre weld..

I plan to strip the main box down, rest isn't that hot.

Fantastic stove, never seen something draw this good right from lighting the match it all goes up!
