Yet another example of a zc fireplace installed incorrectly. We see it way to often.
You arent getting dealer pricing because youbarent a dealer. Many manufacturers require you have a showroom and have minimum orders to be a dealer.
Yeah you cant do anything to cover those vents
Galvanized is fine. And no part of the stove or vent should ever glow. If it does you are overfiring it
You can only do that if the manufacturer of the stove specifies that you can and gives you a clearance for it. And it has to be their alcove...
The aluminum tape will only last a year or two in that area. The top plate / cap should cover that insulation
No you can't obstruct that at all
Stoves will have specific alcove clearance requirements but your space is really narrow I don't know of any that will fit there.
Ok but if there is insulation exposed at the top like that it is unsafe. Like i said i have never used that product but it cant stay like that....

We pull up about half of the insert liner we do. But we have a hoist to do it with. I would drop it if I didn't have a hoist. It is much easier.
Ridge flashing for a 4/12 roof lol. What chimney are you using
We have several areas of virgin forest near us. One used to be an amazing area full of hundreds of old growth hemlocks with a full canopy. Now...
It is probably getting blown in through the cooling vent holes.
Where do you have the air set at? How tall is the chimney?
If it is that close to the ridge I don't know what the issue is the flashing should run up under the ridge cap nothing special needed at all.
An insert is far better
Don't pay attention to stt at all. Run it wide open until the pipe surface temp is 350 to 400 depending on wood and chimney height. You need to...
What info did you ask for and didn't get? Can you give examples of people preaching that those without cat stoves are evil? There are plenty of...

Ok but it doesn't matter where you live when you have a fireplace that doesn't supply and heat to the house and isn't designed to be a heater. I...
Don't waste the money or time. That is a decorative fireplace and will never be a very effective heater
Yes they are regular barrels and yes they often burn out or melt. They are not safe stoves.
