The Cawley-Lemay Stove Co. of Boyertown, PA was founded in the late 1970's and produced some of the most beautiful and rugged stoves of that time period. In fact, a Cawley-Lemay is still considered a treasure. Mr. Lemay left the company in approx. 1980 and the name was changed to the Cawley Stove Co.
The Cawley Stove Company was located next door to Unicast , and purchased most castings there.
Bob Cawley (of Barto, Pa) , an industrial designer, was responsible for much of the basic design. His wife, Martha Cawley, is an artist and sculptor who did the bas relief on the stoves.
Models included the 400, 600, 800 and 500 series, with the 400 and 600 becoming the classics for which the company was best known.
