Thought we were done for the year, but it got down to 38 with rain a couple nights ago, so we lit it up again.

Here we are - 1 week before Memorial Day and the house got to 64. Fired it up again with a NIELS, and I'm back in short-sleeve shirts... Went through 2+ cords this year and will strive to have 3+ cords ready by Nov.

Yep, here it is May 20 in cold, wet New Brunswick, and I'm still running the stove pretty regular.... but me and the puppers love it, and I've got lots of dry firewood in the basement, and more in the shop as an emergency reserve, so I guess I'll just sit back with the gang and enjoy the warmth whilst browsing my favourite firewood forum...... We had shut down and cleaned the stove on May 11. Thought we were done for the season and admired the sparkly clean glass when we finished.

We've gotten almost 3 inches of snow since last Friday, so we've been burning for a week now. Probably will let it die tonight though.
