Cottonwood. World's Worst Firewood

Free think it is Cottonwood tree, about 12" diameter, about 10-12' tall, pretty open yard. Free to somebody who would like to cut it down and take it home for firewood, rounds for crafting? or ???? Licensed /bonded would be awesome, thanks!

I saw that too and kept on scrolling. I drop plenty of trees in the woods, but not at someone’s place where it could go the wrong way. Just not worth having something go wrong.

I would not know I have never had either cotton wood or willow ;lol

i have a dead cottonwood in my yard that I refuse to even cut up. The only reason I might is because that way I don't have to step over it any longer...

I like cottonwood, and usually have some in my pile. The advantages to cottonwood,
1) You think your chainsaw is awesome - it cuts through cottonwood like a hot knife through butter - wow!
2) You can sell it and say legally, "...dry hardwood for sale...."
3) The bark is actually more substantial than the wood!

Have a big leaning cottonwood I hope stays put. Black gum is common here, and they get chucked uncerimoniuosly into the woods, even if they happen to fall next to the splitter and break into perfect 20" lengths.
