The wife and I were sitting outside enjoying this unusually warmer weather but it is changing quickly, it is thundering yes THUNDERING here in Eastern PA. in February as I type this! But anyway, I was looking at all of the rounds that I have for future firewood, am very blessed and fortunate that I really loaded up on it awhile back, and was talking about what I'm going to do with it in the future for heat, and she says "there's a lot of good sleeping right here" because we usually both fall asleep in the stove room as I'm sure many of you do too, it just gets so warm and before you know it you're out, but I thought that was pretty funny, I see b.t.u.'s, she sees sleep lol !

Haha same thing here knocks the wife out quick. She will tell me I'm not going to sit on the couch with that thing running I've have things to do. I'm with you loads of btu's just waiting to save me money.

Deb says the same thing, says "I can't sit down there until I'm done with things otherwise I'll never get up" and she is right, I can be watching tv and the next thing I know is I'm waking up and either the show is almost over or it is a completely different show ! Or the famous "I'll just rest my eyes during a commercial", it doesn't work once you close those lids you're out lol !

Working outside all day in Winter, I'm drooling on myself after about 2 hours sitting on the couch by the stove. It got to the point I just brought my alarm clock out here to the stove room during the winter, love it!! I try to stay awake and night load around 10 pm but usually that doesn't happen so I sleep without a blanket. I get cold, wake up and load the stove

Yeah same here with the storms yesterday afternoon. It dropped 20* in a blink. I got a nice fire cookin last night but fell asleep. The blanket was on so I didn't wake up until 0600, to a cold stove lol. I got 'er roaring again, its 31 outside presently, might be a good C/S/S day

There's a lot of good sleeping that happens in front of our stove also. The wifey and I seem to fall asleep there just about every night or doze off for a little while.
It's just that the old Buck 94 kicks out quite the amount of heat, and it gets so warm, and the eyes get heavy, and <yawn>, you relax a little <yawn> and the eyes close....and... Zzzzzzzzz....

The other funny thing is my wife is dealing with a thyroid issue and one of the symptoms is she is cold quite a bit. A few weeks ago, we were down there and I fell asleep, when I woke up I was starting to sweat and was uncomfortable and had to leave the room, and I looked and it was 84 degrees in there! I asked her "aren't you hot?" and she said "I could use a blanket on my feet!" ;lol
