(back) Subject: gas log setup sans logs From: <[email protected]> Date: Wed, 6 Sep 2000 21:00:45 -0400   Greetings-   I wondered if anyone knows of a source who produces a "streamline gas = fire." Best described as a gas log setup sans logs. I have several architects = and designers who require this look to satisfy their clients' desires. I'd appreciate any leads to the source of this idea or if you produce logs, Ed Fackler, are you interested in having a conversation to design such an = item? Thanking you in advance for your assistance.   Heidi Alber Alber's Fireplaces [email protected]
(back) Subject: Store policy From: "John G. Meeker Jr." <[email protected]> Date: Wed, 6 Sep 2000 21:01:54 -0400   I am sorry for you if you compete against the big boxes. I do not and I = will not. I do custom order work and specialize in the work I do and the things = I sell. I stand behind my work and the manufactures that I sell.   Do you respect home depot? I hope they do not represent you because if a product you make and they sell has a problem, It is all your problem, not theirs. Yes the customer get what he home depot sell but that is all. In = my store they get a lot more and they better not write a bad check or think they can by a grill on Friday and return it Monday because it only cooked twenty burgers at a time not 40.   People have to respect that you are a business person and that you are a professional. If they want to do business with a professional they come to your shop and they respect that you follow some common guide lines. Can = you give your good customers a break, YES. But unless you do a huge volume, = you have to help the customer take some responsibility.   John G. Meeker Jr., P.E. FIRE GLOW http://www.fire-glow.com
