(back) Subject: NEHPA "Store Policies Notice" From: "Jim Hartsen" <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 4 Sep 2000 21:10:28 -0400 Craig & NEHPA Members: I just received my "STORE POLICIES NOTICE" in the mail, upon opening it I was shocked. How could our organization be so dumb? You have just given the potential customer about a dozen reasons not to do business with you. What a turn off to the consumer. I can only hope my NEHPA competitors put this sign up in their stores to drive more business my way. We have just one "STORE POLICY" "YOUR SATISFACTION GUARANTEED" It is posted in our store and even printed on the back of every store employees business card! Yes, we take returns without a sales receipt & sometimes they bought it at = a competitor. Yes, we take returns after 30 days. Yes, we have no restocking charge Yes, we take items back with no original packaging, pipe that's been = double crimped ect. Yes, we are liberal on gift certificates. Yes, we do not require a 50% deposit on special orders or any orders for that matter. Yes, we do lots of "CRAZY" things to make sure NO CUSTOMER leaves without being 110% satisfied. Yes, we occasionally get taken advantage of, but why punish 99% of our = great customers for the 1% of jerks? Remember, we are retailing in 2000 not 1960. I am competing against the = big boxes. If the product I buy from them does not work, I just take it back = to them, no questions asked they replace it or give me a full refund. Now that's competition!
