I recently invited all HPA members who have given us an email address to join the HPA's CEO Report list. I had one manufacturer of pellets request to be taken off of the list because he "wanted to reduce his email." To NOT get information from our own industry seems a bit weird to me. I wanted to ask, "what are you saving all that internet time and disk space for?" Are they working as smart as they can be by using the internet for = a big chunk of their business processes? Or or are they stuck mucking = through all of AOL's content... because that "is the internet." Having one's head stuck in the computer for several hours a day has gotten = a bad rap from all the Mother's of the world. As business people, you would be smart to stick your head into your computer several hours a day. Every smart business person I know lives with their computers and hates like the dickens, paper. What if you could migrate all those paper and phone = orders to email already formatted on your form all set to be sucked into your manufacturing/accounting system. Wouldn't you want to find out how? What do you think?
(back) Subject: More Questions From: "John Crouch" <[email protected]> Date: Tue, 11 Jul 2000 14:33:06 -0400 Back at yah Craig! A question for you from John Crouch. While the US Energy Information Administration continues to issue soothing words about the possibility of a fuel oil supply/natural gas price problem this fall, today the president by executive action created a fuel oil reserve. Congress will have to 'activate' it. (a nice political touch, don't you think? This way if there is a problem it is not the administrations fault.) Meanwhile Natural gas prices are much higher this year and gas being injected into storage is on the low side of historic levels. My question relates to your web site. In years past the pick up on hits on your site has always been one of the earliest harbingers of the season. 1) How does this month compare to previous July's 2) Can you ask folks for their Region on your hearth.com poll? I'm interested if folks in New England and Quebec understand what may hit them if we have a cold fall.
