Hearthlist Digest #561 - Saturday, February 3, 2001 Two Cents -- from HEARTH by "Susan Kalish" <[email protected]>
(back) Subject: Two Cents -- from HEARTH From: "Susan Kalish" <[email protected]> Date: Fri, 2 Feb 2001 19:39:19 -0500 HEARTH is offering HPA members two great opportunities to provide their "two cents." The first is by participating in a pilot program of a course entitled, Professional Service is Profitable. Thanks to HPA-C, John Gulland is taking this HEARTH guidebook and turning it into a curriculum along with materials for groups or companies in the industry to offer as a course. A pilot of the new course will be held at EXPO, Wednesday, March 28, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. HPA-C and HEARTH are looking for volunteers to participate in the pilot, to provide feedback on the course and course materials. We are particularly interested in participants who would be interested in teaching the course in the future, and people who are well versed in profitable service department management. Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the guidebook and should enjoy the day's activities. The second area where you can provide your "two cents" is by completing the HEARTH survey you recently received in the mail on "what you do when you plan and install a hearth product and what you have to know in order to do it." HEARTH wants as many planners and installers as possible to complete the survey. The results of the survey will be used as the resource for upgrading the current certification programs as well as the basis for new technical training programs. If you would like to participate in the pilot program or would like HEARTH to send additional copies of the brochure to you or your staff to complete, please contact HEARTH at 703-524-8030. Thank you!
