These are like big pellets...100% wood without wax additives. Ideal for fireplaces and air-tight woodstoves. Ash content will be about 80% less than cord wood. Moisture content is less than 5% whereas cord wood is seasoned at 20% moisture. These are wonderful...easy to handle at 5.5 lbs and the HEAT!!! they kick butt. ACE hardware, True-Serve, Costco etc all have access to the product... and so does anybody who wants to buy it in truckload quantities from Lignetics Inc @ 1-800-544-3834. By the way- it is made = from sawdust, a by-product of the lumber industry, so NO TREES WERE CUT DOWN just to make this product. 100% renewable resource that heats and reduces particulare emmissions by 78%. Check it out.   On topic #2... reference factory built chimney systems that withstand 110 MPH winds. We have had a couple of earthquakes here in California over = the last few years and the rebuild of many structures have been subjected to some relative harsh performance controls. Thousands of chimneys fell down...shake-rattled and rolled to their core. They have all been rebuilt and many of the manufacturers who supplied product did a great job in innovation to withstand these stability issues. I suggest you contact Duravent, ICC, Security and a variety of fireplace manufacturers to find = out how they adapted to these conditions. When challenged, the Hearth = Industry has responded quickly with innovation and solutions.   -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: Hearth Email List <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, December 14, 1999 2:26 PM Subject: Hearthlist Digest #386 - 12/14/99     >Hearthlist Digest #386 - Tuesday, December 14, 1999 > > suggestions wanted > by "Noel Gilmore" <[email protected]> > and another thing... > by "Noel Gilmore" <[email protected]> > > >---------------------------------------------------------------------- > >Subject: suggestions wanted >From: "Noel Gilmore" <[email protected]> >Date: Tue, 14 Dec 1999 13:15:29 -0500 > >Customer wants a "free-standing" fireplace for a mobile home in which he >can burn Dura-Flame type logs.
