EXTEND A HELPING HAND
December 9, 1999
 
 
  Please join the friends of Dan and Annie Melcon and their two sons,
Lucas and Jordan, as we extend our love and support in this difficult
time.
 
  A few weeks ago the world changed for this family as Dan was diagnosed
with cancer and required immediate surgery.
 
  We have all benefited from Dans passion for our industry, his
perspective over the years as a writer for Hearth and Home Magazine, his
wisdom as a business consultant, and the friendship he has extended to
many.
 
  I remain hopeful and pray for a speedy recovery for Dan and his return
to the front line of the hearth industry in analyzing and reporting our
business triumphs and faux pas.
 
  A fund has been set up to help pay for medical expenses and to help
with the day to day running of their household.  The fund will be
administered by Annie Bauer Melcons Secretary, Kathy Chase Gaudreau.
 
  We are a great Industry and have much to be thankful for.  Please join
me in giving to a man who has given us so much.
