Or better yet, please author another few paragraphs of poetry for us...     Tim Nissen: Why couldn't you come up with this good of a title for your article (grin)..well, next time maybe...     Here's my predictions for 1998....     1. Little will change (can't be too wrong on this one)   2. CFM will not declare that they love the guy who sells 20 stoves per year   3. Less gas stoves, fireplaces and inserts will blow up   4. My wife will be driven mad by the pressures of politics   5. I will make (some) money   6. I will not lose (much) weight   7. Most of the industries wood stoves will continue to look EXACTLY like the models from a dozen or more years ago.   8. Oil will not reach $2.00 per gallon   9. I will live to see 1999 and 2000   10. Hearthlist will continue to bore and educate people   11. HPA will not get smaller and cut staff   12. Clinton will not admit to inhaling and enjoying it   13. I will enjoy my 25th anniversary with my beautiful lifelong friend Martha   14. Even Electric fireplaces will require service   15. Kurt Rumens will not retire   16. OJ will not admit to murder.......     and so on...     Even Ken will have to admit that I have been rather conservative in these predictions, and that they stand a decent chance of coming true.....     Oh! And in the interest of the holidays, I'm pleased to present this little essay written by my son, David. He asked me to post it on our local (Medford, NJ) email list, but I'd like to share it with you all too...     Happy Holidays....     Christmas   By David Issod     Christmas is not about giving and receiving presents but about sharing each other's love. Christmas means love. We give love and in return receive love back.     Many people think of Christmas as just going out shopping and getting what you've wanted for the year. I pity those people who don't know the real meaning. Everyone loves everyone and Christmas is just a way for us to express it. Some people can't do it with words or gestures so they make it up with buying loved ones presents to reflect their love. Christmas gives a hearty, tender and loving feeling inside your stomach when you know you did something good for someone that they will not soon forget.     I love Christmas even though I'm of Jewish hertiage. I think inside of us, we all love Christmas regardless of race, religion, age, and rank. That is also a major part of Christmas, bringing not just families but everyone together as a whole, to look at each other as equals, not by the amount of money a person makes a year.     With this essay I have expressed what Christmas really means to me and what it should for you. I give out my love for everyone to share. I couldn't express my love in just this page, actually far from it but I really do love everyone and I wish I could treat everyone as equals. It's hard and nobody is at all or even close to being perfect but I'd like everyone to at least try, to say "I didn't give up, that I'll never give up, I always give it my best shot, and it was wonderful to try".     With my parting wish I hope you all can follow my guidelines to make Christmas the best day of the year. As they say, "Farewell to all and to all a good night."       editors comment - I think I see a future webmaster here :-)         Amen....and peace to all.       ------------------------------------------------------   Craig Issod HearthNet at http://www.hearth.com   [email protected] Everything your Hearth Desires   ------------------------------------------------------   Buddha says "avoid error"   ------------------------------------------------------
