Here is information you need to plan your Year 2000 from = HPA: 1. The EXPO 2000 "Invitation to Attend" registration brochure was put into the mail to all HPA members on Tuesday, November 16. This registration brochure includes all the forms necessary to register for the show and for housing. For those of you online, HPA has online registration and housing through the website, www.hearthassociation.org. Housing is open, and registrations are being accepted by the registration company, Galaxy. Remember, the show is open Thursday, March 16 through Sunday, March 19 in Baltimore. Education, which includes sessions in four tracks, Professional Hearth Dealer (PHD) courses and Certitification Exam Prep courses is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 through Friday, March 17. 2. HPA's 6th Annual Meeting of Manufacturers is scheduled for June 25 - 27, 2000 at Charleston Place, Charleston, South Carolina. The meeting will focus on product design, product finishes, building brand equity and supply chain management, featuring specialists in each of these areas.. For this meeting, the first registration will be complimentary to each manufacturer paying their 2000 dues as a direct dues benefit. Additional registrations will be $195. Of course, signficant others are invited to visit this quintessentially Southern city of history, beauty and grace. As usual, the HPA Board of Directors will hold a meeting in conjunction with this conference, Saturday, June 24. Additional committee and caucus meetings will also be scheduled. More on this later. Manufacturers - put this meeting on the 2000 calendar you bought, today! 3. HPA also announces an inaugural Executive Management Conference for Installing Distributors. This conference is scheduled for April 27 - 29, 2000 at the PGA National Resort and Spa, West Palm Beach, FL. This conference will feature speakers from the National Association of Homebuilders, building officals and executives from homebuilding companies, professional speakers in the areas of inventory management and managing growth. This conference is being sponsored by several HPA member manufacturers whose representatives will be participating in the activities. Registration will be $150 for installing distributors. Installing Distributors - please put this information on your 2000 calendar. 4. HPA is looking forward to working with Jim Butchart, our illustrious webmaster, on the continued upgrading of the website, the new e-EXPO project and future electronic commerce/business projects to enhance membership value to all members.
