Got this message from a customer.....

I have not been to Home Depot, but I assume they are talking about a stove
similar to the VC Stardance which is being sold at exactly dealers cost.
Majestic, Timberline, Vermont Castings....tough to tell the difference
anymore.
 
Assuming HD's normal markup on such products, you can figure that HD is
paying around $500. for this product from CFM/Majestic. I guess that the
sales to specialty hearth dealers (at higher prices) help to allow them to
provide such good prices to HD.
 
Of course, I'll tell the customer the truth..that I have not seen the unit
and have no idea about it, and that without history and a dealer behind it,
how will they get their concerns and questions answered?
