Has anyone had any experience with the effect of a Home Quarters or Home
Depot moving into their marketing area?  We are having a significant amount
of new building going on in the retail arena, with the non-specialist
companies that stock stoves and logs.  Can the impact be minimized by
emphasizing the value of specialist knowledge?  Are they not really
impacting market share?
 
Do any of the manufacturers that supply the industry provide financing with
inventory, or just-in-time supplying of inventory?
 
I am grateful for any assistance that can be provided.

Check with Mark Stevens Industries in Oregon.  We just installed 73 Monsoon
Caps
(this is what you are looking for) on ZCs in a condo complex at a ski resort.
 Most or all of Mark's caps are tested...but he can describe his products
better than I...we just sell them with excellent results.  Mark's number is

If you buy into this hysteria (which I do not) isn't carbon dioxide supposed
to be part of this "problem"?  (green house effect. blah blah).  I want to be
able to cater to believers and non believers alike customizing my sales
techniques to address each and everyone's "fears" without regard to my own
opinions.  This is basically a wood versus gas issue and I want to be on both
sides for maximum sell....if you have some good selling tips please let me
know...no nastygrams PLEASE!
