(back) Subject: HearthNet announces 3D capabilities From: "Craig Issod" <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 27 Nov 2000 10:20:22 -0500   For Immediate Release 11/27/00   HearthNet announces new Virtual Reality services to allow customers full 3D views of Hearth Products   CHI Associates, creators of the HearthNet web site, have announced the formation of a new Immersive Imaging Studio. This studio will provide the Hearth Industry with modern 3D and video services that offer potential customers an enhanced experience and full interaction with your company's products.   What is immersive imaging? Remote locations and objects can now be viewed interactively and experienced in much the same way as they are in reality: in 360 degree space. No special goggles required. Imagine being able to spin a heavy stove by simply dragging your mouse! Sample object images can be viewed at:   http://hearth.com/qtvr/   CHI Associates is using two different technologies, Quicktime and Java, in order to assure that ALL customers can view these unique 3D images. Quicktime provides better quality and is a free download (Mac/Windows) while Java assures complete compatibility with all browsers and operating systems.   In addition to the Virtual Reality services, the new studio also offers video production for the internet. CHI Associated can create web-ready video of your product using the most popular technologies of RealPlayer and Quicktime.   "As the web becomes more mature, customers are demanding a richer experience." states CHI Associates President Craig Issod."These new technologies allow the customer to view a stove or other product from all sides, just as if it was in their home. The technology also allows for large scale panoramas, making a factory tour or 360 degree showroom image possible."   Contact: Craig Issod, CHI Associates 609-654-7140, [email protected]
