From: "Alex Kielczynski" <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 18 Oct 1999 09:13:23 -0500 Hi to everyone who reads this bulletin board, I have been reading them all for a year now and wonder if anyone out there would care to comment about our fireplaces that we make here in South Africa. We make a ceramic, open, freestanding fireplace simillar to, but not at = all the same , as the Mexican "Chiminea". We have been making them for 5 years now and they are selling very well = here (1500 units sold) They are real fires and get very hot without the problem of cracking that the Chiminea does when a large fire is made in them. How would they go down in the States? Anyone interested can have a look at our web site at www.hotart.co.za We are presently expanding with a new product range shortly to be addded = to the web site. We are also gearing up production to 40 a month. How about it guys ? any advice would really be appricated...ANY advice at all. Regards Alex

But then hitting your ceiling on = installs 15 years ago means business is as usual , still just four weeks behind instead of eight. I've learned to say no alot. Installing or servicing a customer instead of removing wood ducks from a chimney in a building used to dry new born = calves in Feb. However, I have been getting an unusual amount of calls to install stoves bought at other shops and over the internet. But then thats clearly stated under Features and Benefits of buying from me.....Stove installed. Fire burning. Me on call. And a service appointment booked for the spring. Also getting more calls to service or fix heating stoves bought at other shops.... Hmmmmmm.....thats how I got into this business in the first place. Servicing, reinstalling, repairing and fixing stoves bought and installed someplace else and now their out of business or unwilling or unable to = take care of their customer. I often wonder why I retail.
